Elena Pidgrushnaya is a Ukrainian biathlete, honored master of sports of Ukraine, champion of the Olympic Games. Among the sports achievements is the gold medal winner of the 2009 World Cup. In Ruhpolding (relay race), bronze medalist at the 2006 World Junior and Junior Championship, silver medalist at the 2007 European Junior Championship, a gold medalist at the 2009 European Championship Relay Championship (Ufa, Russia), a silver medalist in the relay team European Championship 2010 (Otepää, Estonia). At the World Championship 2011 in Khanty-Mansiysk received silver in the relay race 4x6 km, but due to violation of anti-doping rules Oksana Khvostenko, the international biathlon union removed the Ukrainian women's fourth relay race for the second place in the race for the world biathlon world championship 2011. In the 2013 World Cup, he received 3 medals: gold in the sprint, silver in relay race and bronze in the pursuit race.
