From March 28 to April 6, 2025, the Gulliver Shopping Center will become a center of culture and innovation, hosting the “Books and Art Fest” - a large-scale event that will unite lovers of literature, art and modern technologies. For ten days, visitors will have the opportunity to attend meetings with writers, artists, intellectuals, see unique art exhibitions, take part in discussions and presentations and get acquainted with new trends in the world of creativity. The organizers of the event: Bod.com.ua and the Dmytro Verkhovsky Business Club.
As part of the festival, book stands from more than 30 leading Ukrainian publishing houses will be presented on different floors of the Gulliver Shopping Center, including Folio, Knygolav, BookChef and many others. And the 8th floor will be transformed into a real art space, where exhibitions, creative meetings and presentations will be held.
The festival will be officially opened on March 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the central atrium of the Gulliver shopping mall. The ceremony will begin with the presentation of the photo project “Sport Reads,” which will show that literature is an important part of life even for those whose careers are related to sports. Olympic champions and medalists will take part in the opening, and the event will be moderated by Ukrainian TV presenter and journalist, TSN presenter on the 1+1 TV channel Marichka Padalko.
After the official opening, a panel discussion will take place, in which famous Ukrainian athletes will participate, including Marina and Vlada Alexiyeva, Yevheniy Bohodayko, Oleg Vernyaev, Iryna Gerashchenko, Yulia Levchenko, Hanna Rizatdinova, as well as TV presenter and journalist Darya Savina. They will be joined by the exhibition photographer, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleg Palchyk, who will talk about his experience of combining art and sports.
The festival program is full of events for the whole family: the Radna Sakhaltuyev International Children's Book Illustrators Competition, a creative evening by the actor of the Black Square Theater, Oleksiy Kurylka, a musical performance by virtuoso Sergo Chanturia, as well as the presentation of a book about the BTS band for fans of Korean culture.
