On May 14, a special star in honor of the Ukrainian singer, People's Artist of Ukraine, poet and composer, arranger and TV presenter, music producer Oleksandr Ponomarev appeared on the Square of Stars, which is a symbol of recognition, support and popularization of national culture, art and sports.
Almost 30 years ago, Alexander first appeared on the stage of the song contest "Red Route", where he took first place. From that moment, a number of his victories at competitions and festivals began, as well as a long and successful path in Ukrainian music, cinema and show business. To date, Ponomarev's discography includes 7 studio albums. He has repeatedly been named "Best Singer of the Year", "Best Pop Artist of Ukraine". Ponomarev also made a significant contribution to the history of Ukrainian show business in 2003, as the first representative of Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest in Latvia with the English-language composition "Asta la vista" (Spanish "Hasta la vista" means "Goodbye"). In 2006, Oleksandr Ponomaryov was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine. Today Ponomarev is the founder and owner of the production center "From morning till night", which is considered one of the best in Ukraine, and in 2011 he became one of the music coaches of the show "Voice of the Country".
As Alexander Ponomarev himself noted: “The Bible says that everyone has their own talent. And if you did not find your talent - you are a sinner, if you found and did not realize it - you are a double sinner. Therefore, the purpose of my life was to find my talent and realize it. Having come such a long way, I can say with confidence that after almost 30 years on the stage to receive the award is always nice and it stimulates further development.
It will be recalled that the stars on the "Square of Stars" appear as a result of several stages of selection, which are based on the recommendations of the expert commission - members of the public, media market experts and representatives of Gulliver shopping mall.
"The project motivates modern figures of culture, music, art and sports not to stop there, but to promote the country in the world. The Star Square project aims to become a universally recognized and popular tourist route, as it educates a new generation, reminding them of famous Ukrainians and motivating teenagers to follow their goal, their success, - said Tatiana Atadzhanova, PR director of Gulliver.
On May 14, 59 stars were laid on the "Square of Stars" and this is the 15th star on the "Music" part.
