On October 14, a large-scale scientific space opens in the Gulliver shopping center in partnership with the Small Academy of Sciences. Entry is free, subject to prior registration on the website.
During the month, the interactive space "Open the portal to science 2.0" will be open on the 8th floor of the Gulliver Shopping Center. These are various educational events in history, chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics - for schoolchildren, students, teachers and everyone who is interested in science.
The special feature of the location will be the exposition "Project "Fantasy"", which came to Kyiv directly from Norway, namely from the Bergen Science Center "VilVite". Guests of the space will have an exclusive opportunity to be the first to test a dozen exhibits that were implemented on the basis of children's scientific ideas. For example, 10-year-old Henning Bruun invented a cane with sound for the blind. The tip of the cane analyzes which surface it is in contact with: water, gravel, asphalt, grass. The user receives this information through an earpiece.
During the month, the laboratories of the National Academy of Sciences will work in the scientific portal, demonstrate experiments and practices in natural sciences, and young researchers will personally present their research. Little biologists will analyze food products, and chemists will prepare artificial caviar and learn chemical and culinary tricks. There will also be events for very young scientists - from 6 years old: they will be provided by the "Futurum" Children's Academy.
Visitors to the space will discover competitions, contests and Olympiads. In particular, they will be able to learn about the GENIUS Olympiad — the world's largest environmental project competition for schoolchildren, which takes place in the USA.
And a cosmic opportunity awaits the guests of space. Children will be able to take part in a contest of patches — drawings for a patch on an astronaut's suit. In February, a winner will be chosen, whose work will be sent to the United States, and from there to the International Space Station.
The space will be open from October 14 to November 14, every day except Monday, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Anyone can visit the scientific space on the 8th floor of the Gulliver Shopping Center at the address: Sportivna ploshcha, 1-A.
